NOT MY USUAL LITTLE ROCK UPDATE

I'LL GET BACK TO BUSINESS SOON, but in the meantime, I introduce

The Callow Gang

This is an unusual commercial post. But please stay with me and make it viral, proving what we already know......yes, social and commercial networking has the capacity “close” the world down for some addicts, but it can also open it up for the right reasons. And I reckon that this is one of those right reasons. Art is what makes us human.

Last week I was held captive(ated), on a sub-tropical island near Brisbane, by Ned and Dan Callow (aka Beverley and Cath). Believe it or not, these two extraordinary ladies are not related, other than in spirit. Thank you both for letting me see ordinary things through your extra-ordinary film-making eyes. And thank you both for sharing a moment in my life, which only you two could understand.

I recently met Beverley in different cities through almost cosmic (though certainly cyber) circumstances, and we have become firm, unique friends. Laughing uproariously, loudly and often with someone cannot be a bad thing. Now and then, even intellect enters the field of peripheral vision, but neither of us blames the other too much for that.

Now Beverley, and her talented artistic and technical crew are making a movie. She has made many short films and in fact has one showing in 70 countries around the world at present.  Please read the “Bios” in the attached links – you’ll be amazed at the professionalism of those involved.

“The Salt Maiden” is being made on Coochiemudlo Island, a minor miracle five minutes by water taxi from Victoria Point, Brisbane, yet paced differently by an order of magnitude.

So, check out the links to my other sites and those to “The Salt Maiden” (where there is a “teaser” of the movie itself, Beverley’s Facebook, Cath’s blog, and the sponsor site, or just contact me to ask  how you can help these very special and dedicated people. It’s so refreshing to meet people of passion. I know that times are tough. I appreciate that there are worthy charities seriously competing for sponsorship. And please help them. But also help yourself!

Art is the soul of our society, and to see this film when it’s completed will raise your spirits, knowing that you have helped by being part of something that has made us human since drawings were made on caves! Please help.
